LAC 2010: Catalyzing change in an era of opportunity
The WJP’s second major Rule of Law Conference in Latin America and the Caribbean joined over 100 regional leaders from a variety of disciplines to underscore the impact of the Rule of Law on all aspects of life and generate new cross-disciplinary plans to strengthen the Rule of Law in the region.
This Conference follows the WJP’s first regional meeting in LAC, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2007. The second LAC Rule of Law Conference is a part of global WJP Mainstreaming efforts which will continue the WJP’s long-standing engagement with the region. Following similar regional mainstreaming meetings on five continents and two international World Justice Forums, this multidisciplinary, action-oriented Conference convened 100 regional leaders from a variety of disciplines to address relevant Rule of Law issues and to raise awareness of the impact that the Rule of Law has on all aspects of life in the region.
